    Russian, Latvian

    Welcome to Italy!

My name is Jevgenija Latiseva. My native language is Russian, after that Latvian. I speak very well Italian and a little bit French.  I travelled a lot from my childhood. That is why I like so much other countries. I was born in Russia in the small town near Kazan. After that my family got transferred to Mongolia for five years.  I became interested in history of other nations. But later my family chose Latvia as a perfect place for living. So I had the opportunity to visit France, Germany, Poland, Hungary and of  course Italy. Italy is a wonderful country, which continues to amaze, delight and inspire me.

Italy won my heart at once. I studied and graduated from the Economic Faculty of Tourism at the University of Bologna and began to work as a guide for Russian tourist groups.

Italy has a striking natural beauty of the Alps and Appenin mountains, seas and rivers, forests, landscapes and of course it’s famous sculptors, architects, artists and scientist – Giotto di Bondone, Filippo Brunelleschi, Donatello, Filippo Lippi, Donato Bramante, Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarotti, Benvenuto Cellini, Georgio Vasari, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio…It is very difficult to list all the famous sightseeing places, people and all the wealth in this country. You need to see everything with your own eyes.

Every region of Italy is very different. It has its own unique beauty, colors, accent, style, dialects, architecture and traditions. I like the Emilia-Romagna region very much. I have lived here almost 10 years. I would like to introduce this region to You with great pleasure. Especially I would like to show You such wonderful cites as Bologna-heart of Emilia-Romagna, Rimini-not only a famous summer resort, but also a city with rich history and the birth place of Malatesta family, Ravenna-town of ancient mosaics, Modena-the land of motors like Ferrari, Pagani, Lamborghini, Maserati, balsamic vinegar and sparkling wine – Lambrusco, Ferrara-the birth place of the famous family of Este, San-Marino-independent, the smallest country almost in the central part of Italy…  I will help You to create and develop your personalized itinerary based on your interests, wishes and dreams. I would be happy to show You all Italy beauties and treasures, its culture, history, music, traditions, lifestyle and gastronomy.

I came back to Italy five years later and further specialized in the field of Cultural Heritage by attending a postgraduate course in Archaeological Tourism. My lifelong ambition is to become the director of a small museum or archaeological site. In the meantime, I will be very happy to guide groups (including school classes), couples and lonely travellers through the treasures of Emilia Romagna, including the traditional products which, like the Parmigiano Reggiano or the Aceto Balsamico, have made this region famous throughout the world. At the same time, I shall not forget the hidden and relatively unexplored gems of this beautiful land such as castles, mountain parishes, archaeological sites and country houses. Thanks to my academic background, I can organize special tours for university students and scholars, and help international researchers to book viewings and loans of objects, manuscripts etc. from local libraries, museums and archives.

Born and raised in Bologna (although I spent a few years off in the UK), I know every inch of my town and how tricky it can be finding a good balance between traditional sightseeing (because let’s be honest, there are some things that can’t be missed!) and experience new and unexpected things.

I was born in Modena, where I still live. I’ve got a Biology degree but I’ve many more interests, in particular writing and making photo. I published three fiction books, wrote tales and screenplays and I took part to many photo exhibitions, individual and collective. I like trekking and most of all cycling to discover new places, far or near from home: villages, cities and natural environments. In 2015 I obtained the licence of tour leader and now I’m trying to offer unusual and curious routes for wandering people like me. Always caring and sensitive to the different topics of a territory, I’d like to pay attention also on the less striking ones, but however charming: old streets and paths, suburbs, markets, shops and stores, railway stations, abandoned factories, ruins of the past and local traditions. Every travel is an experience, a discovery, and often an idea to write a tale, or to tell something with pictures.

Hello, my name is Simonetta, and I am a tourist guide in my hometown Modena, a small and pretty city in the Po valley.
I started working as a tour guide 20 years ago, and I love my job because I feel proud to show the different attractions that Modena can offer to its visitors: history, art, motors and good food.
In Modena and its surroundings, it is possible to feel many and different emotions!
In the ancient city center there is the Duomo, one of the most beautiful Romanesque cathedrals of Northern Italy, with its white and slim tower Ghirlandina, the symbol of Modena.
There is also the ducal palace, a big and elegant building, now serving as a military academy. There are several magnificent baroque-style churches, a memory of the time when Modena was the capital of the Estense dukedom.
Modena today is the “capital” of the Italian land of motors: Ferrari, Maserati, Pagani, Lamborghini are all here, producing the best cars in the world in this territory.
Modena is the land of good food: parmesan cheese, the traditional balsamic vinegar, Lambrusco wine, and many other special and incredible tastes can be found here.
That’s why I am so fond of my work. I am passionate about showing my city to visitors from all parts of the world, and to make them appreciate it. Benvenuti a Modena!

I have always loved travel and the culture melting-pot. From 2015 I work as professional Tour Leader after almost 10 years spent in occasional partnership in tourism. From 2017 I am even a Tour Guide. I have a natural fascination for history, both old and modern, which drive me to know and like equally ancient monuments and modern human works. I born and rise in Emilia, so I am soaked in body and soul by our tradition, from the cultural to the gastronomic ones. On top of this knowledges, during 2016 I completed a course about “Emilian traditional food promotion”, so gastronomical tours are now my main specialization. I have travelled a lot abroad, mainly in countries of Latin America where I learn a lot of new things and to manage the meeting of different cultures.

I was born in Ravenna but I live and work in Bologna. It is in this city that I rediscovered the passion for wine, good food and conviviality. I wrote two books that combine my passion for travel to the story of wine; the first is an itinerary through the Andes, from Peru to Chile, passing from Bolivia and Argentina. The second one, “Viaggio in Romagna” is a collection of stories and interviews on the theme of ancestral and autochthonous wine. From March 2015 I became a licensed Tourist Guide in Emilia Romagna and I dedicate myself to telling the traditions and the territory both creating urban and artistic itineraries in the cities of Bologna and Ravenna, and creating itineraries for tasting food and typical products and wine tastings. I also work with blogs and magazines of the travel and wine industry.

Born in the shadow of the Two Towers, my experience in the world of tourism began at the turn of the millennium, when I had the good fortune to work in the Reception of some prestigious hotels in Bologna, Sardinia and Elba Island.
I am a multifaceted person with a wide range of interests, so I can lead tours to discover cities of art, food and wine, street art, etc., but above all “tailor-made”.
In fact, I like to organise tours and events that go beyond standardised routes, involving the visitor in in-depth insights and typical experiences capable of conveying our territorial reality.
I am passionate about Sustainable Tourism, specifically I can lead cycling tours of any level and a new tourist segment that combines sport with a light running city tour.
In 2017 I obtained an IFTS Diploma, participating in an 800-hour course funded by the Emilia-Romagna Region and the European Social Fund, acquiring the qualification of “Technician for tourism promotion specialising in the development of Food and Wine Tourism”.
I consider interpersonal skills to be the basis of this profession. Fundamental to listening, understanding the needs of clients and making myself understood both by more ‘specialist’ groups and by visitors looking for pleasant and engaging experiences.
In conclusion, continuous training and updating in the historical, artistic, cultural and linguistic fields allow me to always be at a high level in order to face a rapidly evolving and changing tourist market.

Half of my life I spent in Russia and Latvia and the other half in Italy. I immediately fell
in love with this country with a very long history, art, culture, architecture, cuisine and
    nature.
I graduated in Tourism Economics in Italy, but my life had brought me to work with
many Russian travel agencies. I have worked as with tour groups also with individuals.
With groups we made trips of 7-10 days visiting cities of art: Rome, Naples, Pompeii,
Siena, Florence, Bologna, Venice, Padua, Sirmione, Milan.
For 10 years I have lived near the Rimini airport – strategic position for the Romagna
region, where Russian tourists have come for years not only for the beach and sea but
also to visit “gems and pearls” – Italy’s most beautiful villages, such as San Leo,
    Montebello , Gradara …
I invite you to discover the Emilia-Romagna region with me, a land famous not only for
its ancient history, noble families, but also for many innovations known all over the world
from Ferrari cars, Lamborghini, Pagani, Maserati to Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana

Let me introduce myself. My name is Riccarda Dematté. I am a teacher, an interpreter/translator and a licensed tour leader and tour guide operating in Italian, English and Russian.
I have a first class honour Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Milan and a degree in Early Christian Art and History from the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archeology.
I was a board member of the Italian Association of Cultural Tourism and a guide of the early Christian sites in Rome.
I am currently collaborating with some cultural associations in Lombardy and with the Municipality of Varese in the organization of conferences and seminars on specific topics related to archeology, history of art and literature.
I lived in Russia, in France, in Poland and in the United States and during my long work experience as a tour leader I had the opportunity to visit many other countries, especially in Europe and in the Middle East.
I have also been dealing with incoming tourists for many years now and I am always happy to show my guests the treasures of Italy and to share carefree and special moments with them.
I have a great passion for Rome, a city I know very well, above all the hidden city with its underground itineraries, and for Emilia-Romagna, a wonderful and friendly region which lacks the intense tourism of other more celebrated Italian districts, but that offers a lot of places for the visitor to discover and unique food experiences. I am therefore ready and willing to transmit the spirit of this land “with a soul” to anyone who wants to learn all there is to know about the sites and enjoy a great tour.

Hello! Welcome to Emilia Romagna… what would you like to do or see or eat? In this region you can see nine cities of art, seventeen parks and other protected areas, several seaside areas and hills, medieval little burgs, castles and you can discover many other small suburbs close to the main cities… eventually the best gastronomy in the world!!
Well if you are ready to leave let’s go together!
We could start from the Roman imperial city: Ravenna! A very long story of waters, mosaics, Romans and Barbarians… where Dante Alighieri found hospitality and was inspired and where he wanted to live! Even now it seems its soul is still wandering around the beloved pinewoods along the coast.
During our trip good wine and the traditional hand made pasta will not be missed! We will find an healthy and tipical tavern able to pass on the best of our local cooking.

    Italian, English

Hi Everyone! My name is Paolo Grandi and I am an official tourist guide for the Emilia-Romagna region. Bologna is my hometown where I still live and where I graduated from the Alma Mater University in History of Modern Art with a thesis on Raphael and the music in the Ecstasy of St. Cecilia, a masterpiece at the Pinacoteca Nazionale di Bologna. For me being a tourist guide first of all means having a passion for the places and monuments we visit as well as competence and a customised approach towards my clients in order to awaken and stir the joy of knowledge. Thanks to the managerial expertise I have acquired in the tourism industry, I am able to coordinate cultural projects in the area, not only for individuals, but also for businesses, such as corporate team-building experiences (bike tours, city walks, hikes, urban events …) to accompany managers and others through diverse and stimulating teamwork activities. I like to work on theme-based topics with my clients. I have written a brochure of short tours following the main trends of the cities of Bologna, Ferrara, Ravenna …: art galleries, music/theatres, Jewish routes, thermal waters and spas, wine & food, universities, venues/LGBT itineraries, relaxation and sports. Contact me!

If you give a look to my website www.aspassoconmargherita.it, it may happen to find out a weird definition of myself: “artistic guide”, because my own job is deeply connected with the idea of being able to tell people the past and present curiosities through Art in all its manifestations, from history to entertainment, painting, music and so on.. The traditional style, with its old and dusty manners, it doesn’t suits me! Coming from Latina, a city once founded by Ferrara people, it’s nice to see the contemporary beauty and trace of it in the places I’m living in now, in order to give tourists the unique opportunity to feel anything they walk through from a double perspective. I also love to put customers at ease and make them feel like they’re back on a school trip, always feeling free to enjoy their time at 360 °. Last but not least, as a Brand Ambassador of local products it’s always nice to talk about the national dishes, planning tasty food and wine walking tours or arts and crafts events.

I’m British by nationality with an Italian mother. I was born in France and grew up in the UK and Luxembourg. I studied History and Spanish at Middlesex University, London. I moved to Naples in 2003, then moved to Jesi, in the Marche in 2005 before moving to Casalecchio in 2007 to work as an English teacher and translator.
Italian culture is endlessly fascinating, and I feel very lucky to be living in Bologna, a city with an incredible heritage. I love studying the local and regional history, art, architecture and traditions, and decided to take the tourist guide exam so that I could share my knowledge and enthusiasm with as many people as possible
I am also very well-informed about the political scene in Bologna in the 1970’s and can give tours on this subject. I am very happy to provide tours for people with physical disabilities.
I really love meeting new people and I really love Emilia Romagna. Every city in this region is uniquely fascinating, with its specific local history and culture.

I am an artist from Ferrara and I have been a licensed tour guide in the Ferrara area since 1979. I like writing for local newspapers exploring stories related to Ferrara and its history.
I’m really passionate about my beautiful city and I would like to make you fall in love with it, accompanying you on journeys through its streets, its squares, its secret corners.
If you are travelling on a bus, I can join you on board and we can admire the long, Renaissance city walls, as we drive along before stopping to discover the visionary beauty of the Palazzo dei Diamanti and the large Piazza Ariostea, site for the Estense Palio.
After we will enter the pedestrian historic center, the heart of the city, by foot. Starting from the impressive and fairytale-like Estense Castle, we will arrive at the medieval square, with its Cathedral, and then get lost in the streets of the Jewish ghetto.
The palaces, the ancient residencies of the Este princesses, the churches and monasteries have beautiful interiors to discover, with their magical stories and frescoes, precious testimonies of an era full of ferment and charm.
Ferrara, the “enchantment city”, is waiting for you!
