I was born in Modena, where I still live. I've got a Biology degree but I've many more interests, in particular writing and making photo. I published three fiction books, wrote tales and screenplays and I took part to many photo exhibitions, individual and collective. I like trekking and most of all cycling to discover new places, far or near from home: villages, cities and natural environments. In 2015 I obtained the licence of tour leader and now I'm trying to offer unusual and curious routes for wandering people like me. Always caring and sensitive to the different topics of a territory, I'd like to pay attention also on the less striking ones, but however charming: old streets and paths, suburbs, markets, shops and stores, railway stations, abandoned factories, ruins of the past and local traditions. Every travel is an experience, a discovery, and often an idea to write a tale, or to tell something with pictures.

I was born and raised in Rimini, I lived in Ravenna over ten years. There I started to study History of Art and to work in museums, doing a bit 'of everything, from the porter to the curator. Then I drew ever closer to Bologna, to specialize myself, and I live here now. My work follows me, for I became a tour guide five years ago. I like visiting cities, attending museums and exhibitions. I’ve always done that, and I found out that I also like to do it accompanying people I know well or that I’ve never seen before. I can be an “institutional” guide, but my favourite thing is to tell you about the stories, the places and the artists in the same way I knew them, for the matters and qualities that I did appreciate myself. The nicest thing about this job, besides the wonderful places, is indeed the opportunity to share your own love for art with lots of people. I guide tours to Bologna, Rimini, Ravenna, Ferrara, and also in many other cities.

A visit to the city and beyond? Put in this way, travel in knowledge in every sense, and do it together with a local makes you feel more like your new goals.
It makes you feel a bit more at home in a place you do not know. Or you would like to look into. The point is to find the right person. And perhaps the present does not help, if not to boredom: graduation, specialization, PhD (all honors, and scholarships), more than sixty publications on art history in national and international journals, lecturer at the University of Bologna, professor at the University Primo Levi, national and international conferences and research projects, collaborator at auction house (Berlin). But beyond the competence, the point is to know how to bring out the spirit of the place, and the deep sense of thing, because the historical evidence around us are an example that should serve to our contemporaneity. Here, knowing how to read is my job.

I was born and raised in Bologna, I got a degree in Hystory of Art in University of Florence in 2009 and then a master in Semiotics in University of Bologna in 2011.
I addressed my studies to the learning of the arts of Bologna and Emilia-Romagna, town-planning, and above all critics and communication of art.
Passionate about technology, I worked in many different fields, like theatre, web-design and film restoration, and that's because I think that, now more than ever, art is about crossing many disciplines and being contaminated.
As a Tour Guide, I love to discover different stories and atmospheres in every place and then to communicate them to my listeners, whether they've been living in there for many years, or they're one-day travellers: there's always something interesting to tell and to share.

My name is Marcello Amadori and I am a Tour Guide and Outdoor Guide (GAE) in Emilia Romagna. I like to let my guests discover the treasures of my region; its main cities Bologna, Ferrara, Parma, Ravenna and Modena offer plenty of art and history in a cozy and warm atmosphere. Emilia Romagna is super famous for its food and wines and I will take you not only to taste Parmigiano-Reggiano, balsamic vinegar and other specialties but to experience how they are made. Outside of cities we find a rich diversity of ecosystems from the Adriatic Coast to the Apennine mountains, passing through Po valley and its delta. Because of my love for hiking and bike-touring I specialized in leading active tours that combine discovery with phisical exercise; they offer a deeper involvement and add fun to learning. Active tours are also more sustainable for local communities and territories, which I believe is important. To learn more about visit my website www.bolognabiketour.com

    Dear visitor, dear tour operator,

welcome to my profile. My name is Fabio Bergonzini, I am 32 years old and I work as tour guide here in my native Emilia-Romagna region.

It’s now several years since I first began leading sightseeing tours and walks to both Italian and international tourists, having since developed a personal experience in communication skills and interaction strategies to welcome visitors, introducing them to the precious cultural heritage of our territory as well as trying to make their travelling experience as enjoyable and memorable as ever.

My education has been centred on humanities and human sciences. I am doctor of archaeology, my studies and research spanning topography and iconography of Italy in pre-Roman and republican-Roman era. I always nurtured a genuine interest in languages, I am fluent in both German and French languages, as well as basic Japanese. I undertook several book translation professional services, too.

I possess a very open and extrovert personality. What I love the most about my profession is the chance of encountering many different cultural realities, as well as mixing my own interest for cultural heritage with daily practise of foreign languages.

My purpose is not just showing visitors around. What I consider most important is sharing the extraordinary experience of Italian cultural heritage, in order for visitors to really get to know it as well as feeling part of it.

When leading a tour, I always take into account peculiar interests of the group or individual visitors requesting my services. This proves to be largely necessary, Emilia Romagna territory offering many different kinds of attractions, from richest cultural sightseeing to world-renowned food and wine culture, from exploration of lavish nature up to music and motors. Each time, in order to encounter different expectations, I’m keen on planning and working on itineraries perfectly tailored to visitors’ curiosities and expectations, arranging experiences inspired to Italian culture. Far from traditional sightseeing, I vividly encourage tourists to experience moments of genuine Italian folklore and traditions, which I’m keen on arranging, letting themselves being inspired by the magic spirit of our territory. Therefore, please get in touch with me in order to plan and study itineraries and arrangements most suitable to you or your clients.

I shall invite you to discover not just the great cultural treasures of Emilia Romagna, but that unique, warm and always-embracing lifestyle, welcoming and perfectly tailored to people’s needs, typical of our cities and small towns. A unique spirit, born from the Italian taste for excellency as well as memories of our glorious, ancient past.

A true Emilian lifestyle immortalized on big screen by great, world-renowned cinema stars as Federico Fellini, Fernandel and Gino Cervi. A landscape of cities, villages, countryside and their inhabitants made absolutely timeless.

Let yourself being inspired by a land of music, where glorious notes of Maestro Luciano Pavarotti’s voice still fill Modena and its Comunale Theatre, where splendours and dramatic emotions of Giuseppe Verdi’s operas can still be heard echoing in Parma’s Regio Theatre, and far, up to Po river and countryside surrounding his native hometown of Busseto.

A ‘land of motors’ where a large number of world most renowned car racing teams saw light of day at the beginning of the 20th century, and here still headquartered: Lamborghini and Ducati still located in Bologna whereabouts, Maserati moved to near Modena. Cradle of Ferrari ‘Red’ race cars myth, here you will follow Enzo’s footsteps, from his birthplace up to nearby Maranello headquartered factory, reliving one of the most successful stories of unprecedented success in both engineering and car racing the world has ever known.

I shall invite you to discover the extraordinary cultural heritage of Emilia Romagna. Ancient land where Etruscans first settled in - Etruscan town of Marzabotto, Spina – shortly followed by Romans – important ruins in all major cities located along Via Emilia, town of Veleia – the region claims the privilege to host a number of three prestigious World Heritage Sites.

Let yourself be amazed by the transparencies and exquisite, refined plays of light on Ravenna world-renowned mosaics. Last capital city of Roman Western Empire, the city will offer you a glimpse of the splendours and prestige of the Roman civilization that defined Western culture. In Ferrara and Parma, refinements, luxuries and lavishes of Estense and Farnese court will let you relive the unique atmospheres of opulence of two of the most prestigious Renaissance families of all Europe.

I reccomend you to take a stroll along the almost 25 miles of porticos encompassing Bologna town centre, as well as climbing the top of Asinelli tower or San Luca Sanctuary, in order to enjoy a view you’ll never forget all over the roofs of the still perfectly preserved town medieval centre. Let yourself be seduced by the fascination of its imposing monuments and the superb glory of a town that stood up to Frederick II, German Emperor, seat of the most ancient university of the Western world.

In Bobbio, Parma and Piacenza you’ll manage to relive the fascination of the glorious age of the cathedrals. Precious as a reliquary, enclosed by nothing but white marble, Modena Cathedral still stands as symbol of all Romaneque cathedrals of Po valley area, sculptor Wiligelmo having created here a model of new cultural renaissance after Early Middle Ages.

Formed around private collections of ruling Houses of the territory, rich and prestigious art museums – Art Galleries, National Galleries, National Archaeological Museums – will offer you a chance to relive the heritage of a glorious past as well as experimenting a culture unique on the whole Italian scenario.

Eating is art. I shall invite you to taste the most authentic spirit of our territory, right at the dinner table. Be part of an extraordinary symphony of incomparable, world-renowned wine and food excellences, 41 PDO and PGI specialities ranging from traditional balsamic vinegar to Parmigiano-Reggiano and Parma prosciutto. Savour gourmet’s favourites as tortellini, tagliatelle and cotechino: you will be seduced by the most incredible and diverse foodservice, ranging from Michelin-starred restaurateurs to traditional house cooking.

You shall discover secrets of traditional Parmigiano cheesemaking, winemaking and ham-producing. Treat yourself with the privilege of entering Modena’s most secretive balsamic vinegar aging attics, admiring the making process of a world-renowned food icon. Explore our traditional kitchens, arm yourself with a rolling pin and learn all the secrets of fresh pasta-making by taking a class with our tremendous sfogline, the pasta ladies!

‘I followed gradma’s recipe’ is a constant in Italian gastronomy.

Here in Emilia Romagna it means much more, though. It is a must, simply.

At the same time, I shall not forget the hidden and relatively unexplored gems of this beautiful land such as castles, mountain parishes, archaeological sites and country houses. Thanks to my academic background, I can organize special tours for university students and scholars, and help international researchers to book viewings and loans of objects, manuscripts etc. from local libraries, museums and archives.

    Guide - Tour Leader
    Italian, Russian, English

Hi! My name is Tamara Sonego. I have been working as an official Tourism Guide for over 10 years. In 2002 I received a government license from the Province of Bologna allowing me to work with Russian and English speaking visitors to the City. In 2003 I received a government license for running guided tours in the city of Rimini. In 2006 I received an Italian Government license to work as an On-The-Road Tour Leader worldwide. Since 2011 I have taken a wide variety of courses organized by Ascom (the Romagna Region’s chamber of commerce) for tour guides and tour leaders in order to increase my professional knowledge. In 2011 I also completed a course that focused on the traditional gastronomic products of Romagna offered by the high-profile Casa Artusi Culinary Center. I possess a university degree in modern languages and I am currently studying to get a second university degree in arts and architecture.

I know that impressive academic credentials are not enough to make one a successful guide—they must be coupled with enthusiasm, talent and people skills. I adore my job because it gives me the possibility of interacting with different cultures and because I consider it as a service that helps visitors from Italy and abroad to appreciate my beloved Bologna. My guided tours are not only aimed at giving information, but also at being enjoyable (and funny!). Moreover I am experienced in working with families with children aged from 5 to 11 years old.

I’m waiting for you in Bologna, you’ll enjoy visiting it with me!

If you give a look to my website www.aspassoconmargherita.it, it may happen to find out a weird definition of myself: "artistic guide", because my own job is deeply connected with the idea of being able to tell people the past and present curiosities through Art in all its manifestations, from history to entertainment, painting, music and so on.. The traditional style, with its old and dusty manners, it doesn’t suits me! Coming from Latina, a city once founded by Ferrara people, it’s nice to see the contemporary beauty and trace of it in the places I’m living in now, in order to give tourists the unique opportunity to feel anything they walk through from a double perspective. I also love to put customers at ease and make them feel like they're back on a school trip, always feeling free to enjoy their time at 360 °. Last but not least, as a Brand Ambassador of local products it’s always nice to talk about the national dishes, planning tasty food and wine walking tours or arts and crafts events.

    Welcome to Italy!

My name is Jevgenija Latiseva. My native language is Russian, after that Latvian. I speak very well Italian and a little bit French.  I travelled a lot from my childhood. That is why I like so much other countries. I was born in Russia in the small town near Kazan. After that my family got transferred to Mongolia for five years.  I became interested in history of other nations. But later my family chose Latvia as a perfect place for living. So I had the opportunity to visit France, Germany, Poland, Hungary and of  course Italy. Italy is a wonderful country, which continues to amaze, delight and inspire me.

Italy won my heart at once. I studied and graduated from the Economic Faculty of Tourism at the University of Bologna and began to work as a guide for Russian tourist groups.

Italy has a striking natural beauty of the Alps and Appenin mountains, seas and rivers, forests, landscapes and of course it’s famous sculptors, architects, artists and scientist - Giotto di Bondone, Filippo Brunelleschi, Donatello, Filippo Lippi, Donato Bramante, Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarotti, Benvenuto Cellini, Georgio Vasari, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio…It is very difficult to list all the famous sightseeing places, people and all the wealth in this country. You need to see everything with your own eyes.

Every region of Italy is very different. It has its own unique beauty, colors, accent, style, dialects, architecture and traditions. I like the Emilia-Romagna region very much. I have lived here almost 10 years. I would like to introduce this region to You with great pleasure. Especially I would like to show You such wonderful cites as Bologna-heart of Emilia-Romagna, Rimini-not only a famous summer resort, but also a city with rich history and the birth place of Malatesta family, Ravenna-town of ancient mosaics, Modena-the land of motors like Ferrari, Pagani, Lamborghini, Maserati, balsamic vinegar and sparkling wine – Lambrusco, Ferrara-the birth place of the famous family of Este, San-Marino-independent, the smallest country almost in the central part of Italy…  I will help You to create and develop your personalized itinerary based on your interests, wishes and dreams. I would be happy to show You all Italy beauties and treasures, its culture, history, music, traditions, lifestyle and gastronomy.

I got my degree in Art History at the University of Bologna, the city I chose for my studies. I soon realized that this was where I wanted to work and live.

After specializing in Museology and spending  some time abroad, I came back to Bologna with excitement. The unexpected events of life haven't prevented me from staying in this place full of wonders,  where medieval streets and old time glories keep on stimulating the imagination. That's what is like visiting Bologna: a blast from the past while discovering the thousand facets of a constantly evolving city.

I have been working as a licenced tourist guide since 2007. The passion for art and history,  the special attention given to the customer's needs and satisfactions make my professional philosophy; and this satisfaction is the most fullfilling gratification for someone that choses this job.

Contact me if you want to discover the memories, the stories, the secrets and mysteries of the ''city of porticos''.

I've been working as a local qualified tourist guide in Emilia Romagna for over 20 years. I love touring curious visitors across my home land: Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Piacenza, Bologna, historical centres, churches, museums, palaces and castles, food & wine specialties and the places linked to
    Giuseppe Verdi and his music.
I can organize visits to Parmesan (Parmigiano reggiano) cheese diaries, Parma Ham and Culatello factories, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar farms and wineries.
In the “Motor Land” between Modena and Bologna I take visitors to private car collections, Ferrari museums, Lamborghini and Ducato factories.
It is possible and strongly recommended to combine food tastings at the end or during each and every one tour. There's plenty of local restaurants and “trattorie” where local, genuine food is still served in the old simple way.
Let me guide you along the old Roman Emilia Road and you'll discover a land that will not disappoint you!

I became a fully licensed tour guide in 2009 and my main occupations in the last years have been didactics, planning historical educational tours and art workshops for Schools, and accompanying individuals and groups to the discovery of some citi es of the region such as Parma, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Modena and Bologna, proposing theme routes, itineraries dedicated to the musical aspects and the culinary tradition of the Region, by visiting Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, Parma Ham and Culatello factories, wineries and traditional Balsamic Vinegar lofts, hoping to make them perceive the beauty and richness of this land!
I love to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for these amazing cities with their 2000 years of history and important traditions. I can tell you about my favourite restaurants, exhibitions and theatre productions and what life is really like living and working in one of the most beautiful towns of the Emilia Romagna region. Bologna gives everything you may desire: art, culture and tradition create a surprising scenery. Nothing is trivial, every corner is a surprise. And don't forget food and wine... A broad choice of products donates a unique experience for every taste.
I'm so proud to be a Tour Guide in the most beautiful region of Italy: I'm in love with these places and I'm glad to work here. After I graduated in Archeology in Ferrara, I worked as an archeologist in Emilia Romagna. Besides my passion for archeology, I love travelling and getting lost in boondocks. I enjoy lonely villages seemingly inaccessible. I'm curious and accurate, so I try to learn as much as possible of the areas where I am. Art and history have always accompanied me, and now, I can update myself constantly discovering something exciting every day.
If you're looking for a sunny person, competent and cheerful, I'm ready to lead you anywhere, and you'll become protagonist of the most beautiful theater in Italy, the amazing Bologna.
